In the latest Entertainment News according to Forbes magazine the latest ranking of the world’s top billionaire Oprah is one of the few who saw her net worth increase instead of seeing it go down. Her net worth went from $2.5 billion to $2.7 billion in one year. She could help so many people out with that kind of increase. Her ratings are even down a bit now. But who cares at this point she is still doing phenomenal! The Queen of Media is holding her spot as a billionaire despite the economy.

The Oprah Winfrey Show now airs in 144 countries, and it brings in 44 million US viewers each week. Her production company HARPO produces Dr. Phil, and Rachel Ray. The Oprah Winfrey Network will launch late 2009 or early 2010. HARPO films just linked cable deal with HBO after 15 years at ABC. We are in global recession, but one person’s fortune seems to be going up and up and up. Oprah Winfrey is richer than she has ever been before. She has gained rank in both net work on the 23rd annual Forbes World Billionaires list. She jumped from spot 462 to 234. Isn’t that absolutely stunning especially with the economy we are facing today.
