
Paul Newman the Hollywood screen legend and philanthropist died on Friday, September 26th, after a long battle with cancer. He was 83 years old. He became so well known not only in the film industry but in the food industry too with his own charitable “Paul Newman” brand throughout the supermarkets. According to Extra Entertainment News, Paul Newman was an American actor, film director, political activist, entrepreneur humanitarian, and an auto racing enthusiast. His home-made salad dressings turned out to be a multi-million dollar food empire, which he donated more than $250 million to many different charities since 1982. He also developed Gang camps that have helped many kids with serious illnesses, and these camps are all for free.
Newman stayed in his private home in Connecticut with his wife of 50 years Joanne Woodward. They have three daughters together. Newman also has two daughters and a son with his first wife Jackie Witte. His son died in 1978 at the age of 29 from an accidental drug overdose. After his son death, Paul Newman created the Scott Newman Foundation for prevention of drug abuse.
