 Well, so much for the truth coming out and her telling her side of the story. In entertainment news, Bai Ling has copped a plea in her celebrity scandal shoplifting case.

 As we all know she was charged earlier this week with petty theft for trying to take a pack of batteries and two Star magazines worth $16.22 at LAX.

 According to celebrity gossip, in a plea deal by her attorney, she agreed to plead guilty to disturbing the peace and to pay a fine and penalties totaling $700, a city attorney spokesman said.

 Well thats all nice but the misdemeanor still "carries the same penalty as petty theft," it just sounds better.

 According to celebrity news in a message posted on her blog, the actress proclaimed "I am innocent" below a photo of herself with her thumb up.

 "Theft dismissed! Yes! This is it! All the darkness went away," she wrote. Let try and clear this up. It didn't go away it was dealt out...big difference. Now her arrest record will just say "disturbing the peace" rather than " theft ". The important fact that no one seems to be reporting on is, did she conceal the items in question. That little tidbit proves intent. I guess we'll never know now.
